Day 10 A Pair of Leghuggers Your Choice and Size From Agoo Apparel (Ends November 16th)

As many of you know my Littlest Monkey is now 16 months and she is walking and crawling everywhere. Recently, I recieved a pair of Leg Huggers to review and I love them.  Leg Huggers are perfect for wearing with skirts and they fit over pants as well.  They keep legs warm and protected. I think the thing that I like the best about Leg Huggers was how easy they make diaper changes.  They don't cover the diaper like awkward tights, but still provide the necessary leg coverage.

Leg Huggers are super soft and are made of bamboo which repels moisture away so they are perfect for summer or winter. Bamboo is comfortable & breathable. It's hypoallergenic, and its organic, natural fiber properties make it non-irritating to even the most sensitive skin & protects from UV rays.  There are numerous patterns and prints to choose from. Even little boy patterns!
Giveaway Item:  A free pair of Leg Huggers your size and color preference

Day 8 Hooked on Phonics Learn to Read (Ends November 16th)

Hooked on Phonics is a well know and successful reading program.  I was lucky enough to review the program and I have to admit when I received the product it surpassed my expectations.  It has everything you need to start a reading program at home and it works.   As kindergarten teacher and a mom of two I know that teaching a child to read can be both rewarding and challenging.

I started working on the program with my 3.5 year old right away.  When the baby is sleeping we get out the cards, the cd, and the book and go through the 20 minute lesson.  It and it has become really special time for just the two of us and she really enjoys  it.  After going through the first lesson she was able to read the at words.  (cat, rat, hat, etc)

Each set contains:12 Storybooks, 2 Celebrated Author Storybooks, 2 workbooks, 2 DVDs, Quick Start Guide, 2 sets of stickers, and Access to my.hookedonphonics.com online Learn to Read experience for each lesson and unit (printables, games) It’s no surprise that Hooked on Phonics won the 2009 iParenting Media Award.

Hooked on Phonics Learn to Read Kindergarten is based on research, approved by the Children’s Reading Foundation, and designed in conjunction with leading educators, renowned authors, and most importantly, parents. Hooked on Phonics Learn to Read Kindergarten uses engaging phonics-based activities, music videos, and online games to help your child become a confident reader. Each unit concludes with a storybook specially written to support the skills children have learned so far in the program--and this is a book they can read to you proudly, on their own! Each lesson takes only about 20 minutes a day.”
Giveaway Item:  Hooked on Phonics Learn to Read Kindergarten Complete Set.

Day 7 Name Your Tune CD (Ends November 16th)

As many of you know we are a musical household.  My husband, brother in law, and  father-in- law are musicians. We are also all teachers in the elementary and secondary systems and we understand the value of music exposure at an early age. We want to offer many varied and rich musical opportunities to our children.  I was really excited when I found out about Name Your Tune. The ingenious idea of seamlessly embedding specific names into songs is a great way to get children involved in music and learning.  Kids love listening to tunes and hearing their own name in song.  The child will hear his/her name over 80 times throughout the 14 well known songs.  Name Your Tune  sounds great and looks great too. Each CD comes with the name of your choice printed on the front.  This would make an awesome gift that will last a lifetime.

Based in Toronto, Name Your Tune Inc. is founded and managed by Candace Alper.
" This project has been a natural progression bringing together her love of music, arts, children and creativity. As mother to four-year-old Hannah, Candace appreciates the impact and joy of music in her child's every day. It is her motivation, enthusiasm and vision that have driven this project from its conception through to the hands of each child."
Co-Founder Eric Alper, is an avid music lover and is currently Director of Media Relations and Label Acquisitions for KOCH Entertainment. Eric brings his unique perspective and experience to Name Your Tune.  Eric also established Hear Here with a team of audiologists in 2000.  This program is in partnership with the Hospital For Sick Children and raises funds to pay for uncovered portions of the cost of hearing aids for children with hearing impairments.  Name Your Tune proudly donates a portion from our CD sales to support Hear Here.

If you go to the Name Your Tune website you can even listen to the songs that are included on the cd. They have over 4200 names and are always taking new name suggestions for their next trip to the studio.

Grace Announcements makes the absolute best photo cards and stationary to help cherish life's moments.  They offer a complete line of professionally printed photo birth and adoption announcements, invitations, and cards.  Wall art, placemats, and labels are available too.  Celebrate your wedding, holidays, birth of a baby, and any other special day with a personally designed item from Grace Announcements. Holiday Cards are available for as low as $1.25 each.

In addition to being a successful Canadian business woman,  Lindsay Brewda the owner is a mom of two.  She was inspired to start her business by her desire to design something unique, creative, and personal for her baby which could be kept as a memory keepsake. She has certainly done this, and has done it well. She's easy to work with and is very approachable.

Lindsay was kind enough to send me a customized  Wall Art  print with my daughter's name on it.  I also order three other pieces for my nieces and I love them all. Everything about them is high quality; the paper, the professional printing, and the design. The trendy art is perfect for a child's room or a nursery and they make the best gifts.  I'm ordering another five for gifts because the price is great and the attention to detail is apparent.  It's a great way to have an affordable, personalized, art piece for a child. No need for custom framing either because the Wall Art pieces are designed to fit in standard sized photo and poster frames and come in  8"x10", 11"x14", 18"x24", 24"x36".

Day 5 Robeez (Ends November 16th)

Robeez boots and shoes are well known among parents with small children.  And for good reason. Sandra Wilson founded Robeez in 1994, when she made her own soft leather shoes for her son Robert.  She designed them to help him balance while learning to walk.  Robeez has grown substantially over the past few years and includes; Soft Soles, Mini  Shoes, and Tredz which range in sizes from 0-4yrs.Sandra also established the Robeez Heart and Sole program, which donates footwear to non-profit organizations and charities throughout the world.

When Robeez sent me a pair of their Soft Sole Booties to review I was so happy. They also have Thermal Booties and Cozy Ankle Booties this year. The review was a cinch because we already have three pairs of boots and four pairs of shoes. Our oldest daughter wore this same style of Robeez Soft Sole Booties in brown for the first two years of her life.  We (well grandma) just kept replacing them in a larger size as her feet grew.  They were the perfect transition shoe because of the elasticized ankle, which helps them stay on. Their soft sole ensures comfort and flexibility.  They provided warmth and protection for her on the floors inside and outside and she wore them ALL of the time.  They barely show any wear and every pair has made"hand me down" status for our second baby. The pink is so cute and now our youngest daughter has a brand new pair. She already loves her new boots and has worn them every day since they arrived.Order them online or in a store near you. They make the the perfect gift for a newborn, baby, or child.  Follow them on facebook for special deals and information.

Day 4 Girl Gotch 3 pairs of boxer or brief style (Ends November 16th)

The best reference for underwear that “ride up” came from niece Lily, who was just over two at the time. We were at a family party and she was having issues with a wedgie and she shouted, “I have hungry bum”. As hilarious as her newly coined term was, it certainly wasn’t comfortable. “Hungry bum” was the catalyst for owner Rebecca to start her company Girl Gotch.

"I was potty-training my daughter and was having a really hard time finding underwear that fit her. She seemed to always be pulling and adjusting and no matter what, they would “ride-up”. I tried everything, even buying size 5/6 panties for her (even though she was 2).

One afternoon, we were at my sister‘s house. My daughter and nephew were playing and were so wrapped up in their fun that my daughter had an accident. I didn‘t have a change of clothes, so I borrowed a pair of my nephew‘s gotch. I didn‘t think much of it at the time, but as the day went on I noticed that she wasn‘t complaining about her underwear hurting. I also watched her jump and play around and they stayed in place. The gotch covered her whole bum, which was something her panties never managed to do.

That got me to thinking...why don‘t they make gotch for girls? And so, Girl Gotch was born ."

These adorable undies are available in both brief or boxer styles and range from size 0 – 6. Girl Gotch comes in two styles, brief or boxer, up to size 6. Rebecca sent us one of each set to try out and they certainly do everything that she originally designed them to do. The boxers are fitted shorts style undies and the brief is inspired by the original “tighty whitey”. Both are adorable and they come in the best box. My daughter is using the boxes to store crayons. Perfect for gift giving!
