For many years I have been a knitter. One memory about knitting that I will always have was the result of an event that happened when I was in grade five. It was time for "show and tell" and I had forgotten to bring anything. As I scrambled to explain why I had forgotten, it suddenly occurred to me that I had knitted the sweater that I was wearing! I told the teacher and my class and I was "off the hook" -no pun intended. My grandmother and I had spent hours working on the loosely knitted, light pink, eighties style sweater. Now, I have realized that I LOVE the look of crochet. Some of my friends that crochet say it's faster too, which is perfect when you are a mother of two, with a baby Pug, who is returning to teaching in Sept. So, at the age of thirty five, I am going to take the plunge and learn. Anyone want to join me???haha
So far I have found the following useful resources: **good for those who want to learn to knit as well
Learn to Knit and Crochet
Crochet Lesson from Craftown
Learn to Crochet with Lionbrand
I am going to start with organic cotton baby booties in soft green! Wish me luck!
